The Hot Wheels Carabo is based upon the Alfa Romeo Carabo. It was a 1974 release that was designed by Ira Gilford and produced in Hong Kong.

The die-cast car is available in light green and yellow enamel. It has blue tinted windows, a black interior, and working scissor doors. The metal base is unpainted and the redline wheels are through-hole.

It is a reissue of the Carabo from 1970 with some changes. The reissue has enamel instead of Spectraflame paint and no longer has a black painted base. Instead of a painted nose and louvers it is detailed with printed graphics. Rounded protectors were added to the base next to the rear wheels.
