The Hot Wheels Chief’s Special is a based upon a modified 1970 Oldsmobile 442. It was a 1975 release that was designed by Larry Wood and produced in Hong Kong.
It is red enamel with white and yellow graphics. A three-starred badge with “Chief Fire Dept” decorate the sides along with “10” on the rear quarter panels.
Details include blue tinted windows, a black interior, and a blue emergency dome light on the roof. It has a chrome plastic base and through-hole redline wheels.
The die-cast car is a reissue of the Police Cruiser from 1974 with some changes. It has a new color and graphics, no longer has an opening hood, and its base is plastic instead of metal.
