Custom Mustang

The Custom Mustang was based upon the 1967 Mustang Fastback. The ’67 Fastback had a redesign that made it longer, wider, and its sloping roof reached to the end of the trunk.

The die-cast vehicle was a 1968 release that was designed by Harry Bradley. It is available in many Spectraflame colors and the interior can be white, tan, brown, or red. The lift-up hood reveals a detailed engine and the car has bearing redline wheels.

Production was in the U.S. and Hong Kong. U.S. cars have steering wheels that match the interior and have clear windows. Some late production cars can be found with rear louvered windows and blue tinted windows.

A Hong Kong car has a black steering wheel and a base with “Hong Kong”, suspension holes, and mechanical details. Early production H.K. cars can be found with open hole scoops cut into the hood.

Included with the car was a collector’s button. The button has a red Mustang on an orange background and can have a notched tab or a smooth tab.
