Dune Daddy

The Hot Wheels Dune Daddy was designed by Howard Rees and produced in Hong Kong. The die-cast car is dark blue enamel decorated with red, yellow, and green flower graphics. It has a white interior, a black plastic base, and through-hole redline wheels.

It is one of four Hot Wheels vehicles released in 1980 by the Wisconsin Toy and Novelty Company. Each vehicle came packaged in a baggie with a header card that has an unusual Hot Wheels logo.

Wisconsin Toy specialized in closeouts and overstock. The Hot Wheels cars they sold were leftovers from a canceled 1975 promotion between Mattel and Proctor & Gamble.
