Emergency Squad

The Hot Wheels Emergency Squad is inspired by Squad 51, the paramedic rescue vehicle that was used in the Emergency! TV series that premiered in 1972. The die-cast vehicle was a 1975 release that was designed by Larry Wood and produced in Hong Kong.

It is red enamel detailed with white and yellow graphics. “Emergency Unit” with a three-starred badge is on the doors and “50”, Oxygen, and First Aid” are on the sides.

The truck has dark tinted windows, a black interior, blue emergency lights and accessories, and a chrome plastic base. The redline wheels are through-hole. Later releases can have black wall wheels.

The Emergency Squad shares the same casting as another 1975 release, the Ranger Rig.
