Ferrari 312P

The Hot Wheels Ferrari 312P is based upon the racing car of the same name. The prototype sports car has a 3 liter V12 engine and a top speed of 198.8 mph.

The die-cast vehicle was a 1969 release that was designed by Ira Gilford. It can be found in red enamel as well as a variety of Spectraflame colors.

Details include an opening rear hatch that reveals the V12 engine, capped redline wheels, and painted taillights. The interior color is black, but a white interior is a very rare possibility.

Production was in the U.S. and Hong Kong. A U.S. car has a clear windshield and flat black rear accents.

A Hong Kong car has a blue tinted windshield, gloss black rear accents, and a base with “Hong Kong” and suspension holes. Body line details can be raised, indented, or indented but incomplete.

The Ferrari 312P is part of the Grand Prix series. Included with the vehicle was a collector’s button that can be plastic or metal. Both buttons have a Ferrari on a yellow background.

Also included was a sticker sheet that had multiple “60” decals and Ferrari emblems. Some Hong Kong cars did not come with a sticker sheet. They had the “60” stickers and a yellow Ferrari emblem already applied.
