Grass Hopper

The Hot Wheels Grass Hopper is based upon a Jeep modified with a large engine. The die-cast car was a 1974 release that was designed by Larry Wood and produced in Hong Kong.

It can be found in light green enamel embellished with orange and blue graphics. A grasshopper silhouette and “Grass Hopper” is on the sides. The car has a blue tinted windshield, black interior, metal base, and through-hole redline wheels.

The vehicle is a reissue of the Grass Hopper from 1971 with several changes. It no longer has the removable white plastic roof and the rear engine has been removed. The canteen, pick, shovel, and other body details have also been removed.

Rounded protectors were added to the base next to the rear wheels. It is decorated with printed graphics and has enamel instead of Spectraflame paint.
