Hot Heap

The Hot Wheels Hot Heap is based upon the “King T” show car owned by Don Tognotti. The show car was built from a Model T and won the America’s Most Beautiful Roadster award at the 1964 National Roadster Show.

The die-cast vehicle was a 1968 release that was designed by Harry Bradley. It is available in a variety of Spectraflame colors and the interior can be white, tan, grey, or brown. Most have bearing redline wheels, but capped wheels are possible.

Production was in the U.S. and Hong Kong. U.S. cars have a molded steering wheel, a metal engine, and a clear windshield. Some U.S. cars can be found with a tilted windshield.

Hong Kong cars have a blue windshield, a separate steering wheel, and a plastic engine. The base has suspension holes and “Hong Kong”.

Included with the car was a collector’s button. The button has a Hot Heap on a blue background and can have a notched tab or a smooth tab. The copyright can be Hong Kong or U.S.A.
