The Hot Wheels Inferno is an original design of a top-fuel dragster. The die-cast vehicle was a 1976 release that was designed by Larry Wood and produced in Hong Kong.

It is yellow enamel with orange, purple, and red flames on the body. On the front wing is “Inferno” accentuated by orange flames.

The dragster’s interior, engine, and rear wing are chrome plastic. It has a metal base, small wheels in the front, and through-hole redline wheels in the back. Later releases can have black wall wheels.

The Inferno shares the same casting as the Cool-One.
