Light-My-Firebird

The Hot Wheels Light-My-Firebird is based upon the Pontiac Firebird. The pony car has been modified with front and rear spoilers and its hood has been removed to make room for a large blown engine.

The die-cast car was a 1970 release that was designed by Ira Gilford. Production was in Hong Kong.

It is available in a variety of Spectraflame colors and the interior can be white, tan, or brown. White stripes decorate the rocker panels, the taillights are painted, and the doors have number graphics that can be between 1 and 9. It has a blue tinted windshield and the redline wheels can be bearing or capped.

The Light-My-Firebird is part of the Spoilers series. Included with the vehicle was a metal collector’s button with a smooth tab. The metal button has a red Light-My-Firebird on a grey or pink background. Also included was a decal sheet that features a variety of logos.
