The Hot Wheels Olds 442 is based upon the 1970 Oldsmobile 442. The legendary muscle car has a big-block 455 cubic-inch V8 engine and a W-30 high performance package.
The die-cast car was a 1971 release that was designed by Larry Wood. Production was in the U.S.
It is available in a wide range of Spectraflame colors, has clear windows, and capped redline wheels. Features include an opening hood that reveals a detailed engine and a black plastic rear spoiler. A white interior is standard, but Spectraflame red 442s can have a rare black interior.
To decorate the car a sticker sheet was included. The stickers had white stripes with stars.
Also included with the vehicle was a collector’s button that can be plastic or metal with a smooth tab. Both buttons have a blue Olds 442. The plastic button has a yellow background and the metal button’s background is light green.
