The Hot Wheels P-911 is based upon the Porsche Carrera luxury sports car. The die-cast vehicle was a 1975 release that was designed by Larry Wood and produced in Hong Kong.
It is available in yellow and white enamel. “911” is on the nose and blue and red stripes and graphics decorate the top.
Details include dark tinted windows, a black interior, and a metal base. The redline wheels can be all through-hole or capped in the front and through-hole in the back.
“P-911” is usually on the base, but early releases of the car have “Porsche Carrera”. These early releases also have “Porsche” stamped into the rear of the body.
There is a rare version of the P-911 that is gold chrome and does not have any graphics. It was never available on blister card and may have been an employee promotional item or a salesman sample.
