Sand Drifter

The Hot Wheels Sand Drifter is an original design of a dune buggy with a cargo bed. The die-cast vehicle was a 1975 release that was designed by Ira Gilford and produced in Hong Kong.

It is available in yellow, lemon yellow, and light green enamel. Graphics with orange flames outlined in purple decorate the hood. Details include a black interior with a bed cover, a metal base, and through-hole redline wheels.

The vehicle is a reissue of the Power Pad from 1970 with many changes. Its motor was removed and a hood was added, the windshield was replaced by a frame, and the roll bar was removed. Rounded protectors were added to the base by the wheels.

Additionally, the car has enamel instead of Spectraflame paint and is decorated with printed graphics. Instead of a white camper, the back has a black cover.
