Short Order

The Hot Wheels Short Order is based upon a heavily modified pickup truck. The truck features a long front end with a blown V8 engine and a very short bed.

The die-cast car was a 1971 release that was designed by Howard Rees. Production was in Hong Kong.

It is available in eight Spectraflame colors, has blue tinted windows, a black interior, and capped redline wheels. The orange trunk bed and tailgate can be pulled out extending the bed.

Included with the truck was a plastic collector’s button. It has a purple Short Order on a yellow background.

The Short Order is known for “crumbling”. Crumbling is when the body or base cracks and eventually breaks into pieces. This is caused by impure metals being used in the zamac alloy.
