Swingin’ Wing

The Hot Wheels Swingin’ Wing was designed by Ira Gilford and produced in Hong Kong. It is yellow enamel decorated with orange graphics outlined in purple. The die-cast car has blue tinted canopies, a black interior, a black plastic base, and through-hole redline wheels.

It is one of four Hot Wheels vehicles released in 1980 by the Wisconsin Toy and Novelty Company. Each vehicle came packaged in a baggie with a header card that has an unusual Hot Wheels logo.

Wisconsin Toy specialized in closeouts and overstock. The Hot Wheels cars they sold were leftovers from a canceled 1975 promotion between Mattel and Proctor & Gamble.
