The Hot Wheels TNT-Bird is based upon the 1969 Ford Thunderbird. The car has been modified with front and rear spoilers and its hood has been removed to make room for a large blown engine.

The die-cast car was a 1970 release that was designed by Ira Gilford. Production was in Hong Kong.

It can be found in quite a few Spectraflame colors and the interior can be white, tan, or brown. Details include a black roof, a white stripe on top, painted taillights, and number graphics on the doors that can be between 1 and 9.

The windows are tinted blue and the redline wheels are capped. To decorate the car, there was a decal sheet that features a variety of logos.

The TNT-Bird is part of the Spoilers series. Included with the vehicle was a metal collector’s button with a smooth tab. The button has a blue TNT-Bird on a background that can be pink or blue.
