Torero

The Hot Wheels Torero was inspired by the 1968 Dodge Charger III. Dodge’s concept car featured a fiberglass body, clamshell-style cockpit canopy, and air-brake flaps. It was a non-functional show car since it lacked an engine and drivetrain.

The die-cast vehicle was a 1969 release and was designed by Ira Gilford. Production was in the U.S.

It can be found in many different Spectraflame colors and interior colors include white, tan, or brown. An opening hood reveals a detailed engine, it has clear windows, and its wide taillights are painted red. The redline wheels can be bearing or capped.

Included with the car was a collector’s button with an orange Torero on a purple background. There are notched and smooth tabbed Hong Kong buttons and a smooth tabbed “Printed in U.S.A.” button.
