The Hot Wheels Winnipeg is based upon a Can-Am series race car that features a large hydraulic rear spoiler. The die-cast car was a 1974 release that was designed by Ira Gilford and produced in Hong Kong.

It is yellow enamel decorated with orange and blue stripes, graphics, and “33”. Details include a blue tinted windshield, black interior, and a removable orange plastic rear wing. The wing sits atop an opening rear hatch with an engine underneath. The redline wheels are usually through-hole, but capped wheels are possible.

The Winnipeg is a reissue of the Chaparral 2G from 1969 with several changes. It has enamel instead of Spectraflame paint, printed graphics, and an orange instead of white wing. Rounded protectors were added to the base next to the wheels.
